What if the only thing standing between you and the life you want... is the courage to simply begin?
Three years ago, I published the very first episode of Manders Mindset using nothing but my iPhone. I didn't have a microphone, a fancy setup, or a perfect plan. I just had an idea and the willingness to start. Looking back, I'm so grateful I did, because this journey has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined.
In this special three-year anniversary episode, I'm reflecting on the three biggest lessons podcasting has taught me. From learning that confidence is built through action, to discovering that authenticity creates deeper connections than perfection ever could, to realizing that the things we create often end up shaping us in return, I'm sharing the lessons that have stayed with me over the past three years. I'm also taking a moment to thank the incredible people and every one of you, who have made Manders Mindset possible along the way.
๐ก In this episode, you'll learn:
๐ Why you don't have to feel ready to take the first step.
๐๏ธ How confidence is built through action not before it.
๐ค Why authenticity will always connect more deeply than perfection.
๐ฑ How the things you create often end up transforming you in return.
๐ The importance of gratitude and celebrating the people who support your journey.
๐ Why this might be the sign you've been waiting for to finally begin.

SPEAKER_01I am
Three Years In The Making
SPEAKER_01your host, Amanda Russo. And today is such a special episode because Mando's Mindset turns three years old. Three years ago, I launched the first episode of Mando's Mindset. Three years ago, I hit publish on the very first episode using nothing but my iPhone. Crazy, right? No microphone, no headphones, no fancy setup, no clue where this journey would lead. And as I was reflecting on these past three years, I realized there are three lessons that stand out above everything else. First
Lesson One: Just Start
SPEAKER_01lesson, just start. I think so many of us wait. We wait until we're more confident. We wait until we have more experience. We wait until we have the perfect equipment, the perfect timing, or the perfect plan. Three years ago, I didn't have any of that. I had an idea, a suggestion from someone I trusted, and an iPhone. Looking back, I'm so grateful I didn't wait. Because here's what I've learned. You don't become confident and then start. You start and confidence is built along the way. So if there's something on your heart you've been putting off because you don't feel ready, maybe this is your reminder that ready isn't the requirement. Starting is the only requirement. And you can start where you are.
Lesson Two: Authenticity Wins
SPEAKER_01The second lesson that I've been reflecting on from these past three years is how people connect with authenticity. When I first started podcasting, a part of me believed I needed to have all the answers or to only talk about what I knew very factually or very well, that I needed to sound polished, that I had to teach something every single episode. But over the last three years, I've realized something completely different. The episodes people reach out about the conversations people remember the messages that I receive from people, they are almost never because the episode was perfect, quote unquote. They are because something was real, something was authentic. People don't connect with perfection, they connect with honesty and authenticity. And honestly, that's been so freeing. The
Lesson Three: Creating Changes You
SPEAKER_01third lesson that really resonated with me from these past three years is how the things you create end up changing you. I started this podcast hoping it would make a difference in someone else's life. Hoping that even one person would shift their mindset. As I say. It teaches us. It evolves us. It changes us. And now looking back three years, I am so incredibly grateful that I hit record on that very first episode.
Gratitude For The People Behind It
SPEAKER_01A few people, I want to extend some extra gratitude. A dear friend of mine, Sean Rivers, who sat down with me and showed me how to publish a podcast. I really appreciate you taking that time. A friend of mine that helped me learn how to edit the right way. Brad, I appreciate you taking the time you did as well. And podcasting brought me my best friend, Paul Seema, who I am so thankful for. And some days I I don't know how I'd how I'd be breathing without her. She she's my rock. So, and to everybody else who has helped me, supported me, and to you listening, who whether you've tuned into one episode or you've heard over 200, or somewhere in between. I am so appreciative of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Truly. You could listen to anything in the world, but you're listening to Amanda's mindset right now. And I appreciate that. So,
A Sign To Begin And Closing
SPEAKER_01with all this being said, if you've been waiting for or looking for a sign to begin something, maybe this is that sign. Don't wait until you feel ready. Start before you think you can. Be honest along the way. And don't underestimate how the very thing you're creating might end up changing you too. Thank you so, so, so much from the bottom of my heart to every single person who's listened to Mander's Mindset, who's shared an episode, left a review, been a guest, or supported Mander's mindset in any way, shape, or form over these past three years, I truly appreciate you. Miss Journey has meant more to me than I can put into any words. And here's to the next chapter. Until next time, guys, keep breathing, keep shifting, and remember, everything is figure outable. In case no one told you today, I'm proud of you. I'm booting for you. And you got this. As always, if you enjoyed the show, I would really appreciate it if you would leave me a five-star rating. Leave a review, and share with anyone you think would benefit from that. And don't forget, you are only one mindset shift away from shifting your way. Thanks guys, until next time.
